HUS 2356 Dual Diagnosis (Addictions/Mental Health Disorders) — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: HUS 1345, HUS 1500, HUS 2682 and HUS 2683. This course introduces stu dents to that subgroup of chemical dependency patients that suffer from more than one psychiatric illness at a time. Students will explore the many psychiatric illnesses in relation to substance abuse and how these impact treatment and coun seling approaches. Three contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
