 Courses College Credit Courses AER 1231 Manual Transmission and Transaxles — 4 Credit Hours Prerequisite: AER 1310. This course is designed to teach entry level skills in clutches, manual transmission, manual transaxles, drive axles and differentials. Topics include theory of operation, service and repair. In addition, GM-ASEP students will include GM specific instruction based on GM-STG course number 17003.13 Five Speed Manual Transmission, course number 17033.11 51M60 Manual Transmission, course number 1300.02 Vibration Correction, course number 14004.00 Rear Axle and Proshaft and course number 14003.04 All Wheel Drive Systems will be covered. Both classroom lecture and laboratory will be provided. Six contact hours: four lecture hours, two laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
