AER 2514 Engine Performance and Test: Module IV, Emission Diagnostics and Repair — 1 Credit Hour

Prerequisite: AER 2513. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, operation and diagnosis of emission systems and their components. Performance skills include the diagnostics and repair of emission systems for PCV, EGR, Catalytic Converter and evaporative system components. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
