AMT 1771 Aviation Maintenance Technology Powerplant I — 6 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: Completion of General I through IV or permission of instructor. This course is designed to introduce skills and the necessary knowledge and understanding of aircraft reciprocating engine fundamentals, reciprocating engine ignition systems, reciprocating engine fuel, fuel metering and induction systems, reciprocating engine exhaust, cooling and lubrication; and propellers and propeller governing systems. Sixteen contact hours: eight lecture hours, eight laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
