OST 1324 Business Mathematics — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: MAT 0002 with a grade of C or better, or satisfactory score on the placement test. This course consists of a mathematical treatment of financial problems arising in modern businesses. Fundamental mathematical processes are reviewed using electronic calculators. The course covers percentages, simple and compound interest, inventories, depreciation, payroll, commissions, taxes and other business-related topics. Spreadsheet applications are introduced.
