CIS 2613 Information Technology Project Management — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: COP 1000 and a COP Programming Course. In this course you will learn how to effectively manage and complete an IT project. This includes the steps from inception to completion and critical strategies for finishing projects on time and within budget. You will investigate how to keep your team motivated, address challenges including changing business needs, budget restrictions, technical barriers and office politics. This is a first course to help you prepare for the CompTIA's career-advancing IT Project+ certification. A working knowledge of programming is required. Four contact hours (lecture/laboratory). A.S., A.A.S.
