EGN 2311 Statics — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: PHY 2048C and MAC 2312. This course covers the analysis of two and three dimensional force systems by vector algebra. Application of the principle of equilibrium to particles, rigid bodies and simple structures are included. Friction, distributed forces, center of gravity, centroids and moment of inertia are introduced. U.S. engineering and metric systems of units and applications are used. Three contact hours. A.A.
