 Courses College Credit Courses OST 1611 Introduction to Medical Transcription — 3 Credit Hours Prerequisites: HSC 1531 and OST 2771 or word processing skills. This course is an introduction to medical transcription procedures and practices. The objective is to provide the basic knowledge, understanding and skills required through actual transcription of a variety of medical reports. Medical specialties include, but are not limited to, reproductive, gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, endocrine, nervous and urinary. Three contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
