DEA 0301 Dental Nutrition

Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED. Corequisite: DEA 0311. This is a comprehensive course designed to integrate nutrition into the diagnosis, care and treatment of dental patients. Emphasis will be placed on instilling in students an overall awareness of nutrition in oral health and providing a practical means in assessing dental patients’ diet as well as the impact it has upon dental health through the nutritional process.
