EEV 0813 Solid State Devices

Prerequisite: EEV 0811. Corequisite: EEV 0812. This course familiarizes participants with the major semiconductor devices that are the core components of electronic systems. The topics include semiconductor fundamentals, diodes, bipolar transistors, field effect transistors, thyristors and an introduction to operational amplifiers. Constructing, testing and troubleshooting provides hands-on experience with electronic circuits in addition to computer-aided experimentation.
