EEV 0816 Microprocessor Fundamentals

Prerequisite: EEV 0815 or consent of professor. This class and lab course is designed to introduce participants to microprocessors. Familiarity with digital electronics is a prerequisite. The course topics include computer hardware organization, microprocessor architectures, machine and assembly programming of several types, memory and I/O interfacing and system expansion. Lab experiences provide familiarity with microcomputer systems based on the i8085A and MC6802 MPUs.
