“Changing Places,” award-winning play from last year’s Festival, was written by Ruth Coe Chambers. It opens on the day of a funeral and traces the twists and turns in the lives of the deceased, his sister and his widow. Set in the mid-1960’s South, Changing Places is gripping in its sensitive subject matter and its revelations of the human foibles of each of the protagonists, with surprising moments of pure Southern humor skillfully woven into the plot.
