Writers’ Festival

The 22nd Season of the First Coast Writers’ Competition invites a renewed focus on the demanding craft of writing and the gratifying process of discovering—and encouraging—new talent. We will continue to grant awards and recognition to those who have, in our judges’ opinions, demonstrated superior writing skills. We will not, however, sponsor a conference/festival or banquet as we have in the past. We look forward to receiving your submissions. Good News: The writing CONTESTS live on! In fact, with the support of Camille Cline and her Literary Spa, we have added a new contest this year in memoir writing! We now sponsor six contests: Novel, Short Story, Poetry (two), Playwriting, and Memoir. Be sure to go to the drop-down box for contests to check deadlines and send in those submissions on time! In addition to the prize money and reviews, we will make every effort to find a venue to recognize our winners! We look forward to hearing from you and reading those submissions!
